Why a full mock, and not another practice test?
Practising one skill at a time can hide the real problem. The real test is all four, back to back, with no pause button.
Separate practice scores do not tell you what you would get on test day. A full mock puts the four skills together and gives you one number you can plan around.
Three hours of concentration, then Speaking. Many candidates lose marks in the last hour, not the first. Find out where you fade while it is only a mock.
The report points to the mistakes that repeat and the order to fix them in, so your next two weeks of study go where they gain the most.
The whole test, in exam conditions
Four recordings, 40 questions. Each recording plays once and cannot be paused or replayed, and the reading time before each part is built in, just like the real test.
Three passages, 40 questions, a mix of the question types you will meet on the day. Scored straight away against the answer key.
Task 1 (a chart or diagram) and Task 2 (an essay) in one block. Marked against the four IELTS Writing criteria, with the mistakes that cost you marks pointed out.
Three parts with an AI examiner, spoken into your microphone. Marked on the four IELTS Speaking criteria.

Straight answers
Is this an official IELTS score?
No. IELTS Master is an independent preparation platform. It is not affiliated with the British Council, IDP or Cambridge. Your mock bands are estimates built from the published IELTS band tables and criteria. Treat them as a reliable practice guide, not an official result.
Who writes the papers?
They are original practice papers written by IELTS Master with AI assistance, following the published IELTS format and difficulty. They are not past IELTS papers, and we never claim they are.
How accurate is the band?
Listening and Reading are scored against the answer key and converted with the commonly published band tables, which vary a little between real test versions. Writing and Speaking are marked by an AI examiner against the four IELTS criteria. For Speaking, pronunciation is estimated from a transcript of what you said rather than heard, so treat that one criterion as a guide.
What do I need?
A laptop or desktop, headphones, a working microphone, a quiet room and a stable internet connection. A phone is not recommended: the audio and the typing are far more reliable on a laptop. You test your sound and microphone before the clock starts.
How long does it take?
About three hours for Listening, Reading and Writing, then Speaking (up to 25 minutes). Each part has its own timer that cannot be paused, as in the real exam. Between parts, the next one only starts when you press Start, so you can take a short break.
What if my internet or power drops?
Your answers save as you go. Reopen the page and carry on, but the clock keeps running, as in a real exam. If you started a mock but never opened a single part, we cancel it automatically and give your seat back.
Can I take the same mock twice?
No. Each paper can be sat once, so the result is a fair measure. You can only sit the mocks you bought: add another mock any time from your Mock Tests page, and it unlocks once you have received the results of the last one.
Why are my results held for 48 hours?
Real results are not instant, and it stops you rushing into the next attempt without learning from this one. Your results are released automatically and we email you.
Is the Speaking test a real person?
When you buy as an individual, your Speaking test is with an AI examiner on your screen. If you sit through a training centre, your centre may instead examine you face to face.
What if something goes wrong on your side?
If a technical fault on our side stops you finishing a test, message us on WhatsApp. We review the sitting and can return your seat. A mistaken purchase of unused seats can be refunded on request within 7 days of payment.
I run a training centre. Is this for me?
Yes, and it is built for it: schedule a mock day for your class, run Writing on paper, examine Speaking face to face, review results before students see them. See the page for centres.
This is a practice estimate produced by IELTS Master, not an official IELTS score. Mock papers are original, written by IELTS Master with AI assistance; they are not past IELTS papers.
